Pongal colouring Sheet
It’s Pongal this week, and I couldn’t be more excited. Pongal is an ancient Tamil festival where thanks are given to the Sun, grains, cattle and nature. A special dish of Sakkarai Pongal is made to celebrate. Pongal is cooked until it boils over the pot, to symbolize a bountiful year ahead.
The Tamil Storytime book characters, Mazhai and Sudar, are also Tamil, they wanted to celebrate Pongal with all of you this year. They are making some Pongal together, and need your help in adding some colour to help bring them to life!
